Liverpool's LOLFash haunted by reds under the bed

Since Liverpool Antifascists emerged as the most prominent and active antifascist group in Liverpool, the local BNP's fortunes have been in free fall.

Their confrontational "super-activism," links to neo-Nazis, and contempt for local people was exposed for all to see. Their lies about "UAF thugs" fell apart as their most prominent member and donor was convicted of ABH. To top it off their general election campaign, shambolically organised, ended in utter failure.

Now the local party is imploding simply because somebody has challenged Nick Griffin's dictatorial stranglehold on power.

But, it seems, they haven't entirely forgotten us reds under the bed in this melee. In fact, still rattled at the effectiveness of the "working class unity against fascism" message, some of them have exacted their revenge.

Enter stage left Liverpool Antitraitors [sic].

This is the brainchild - and I use the term brain loosely - of Gary Lucas, who you could say was something of a local BNP heavyweight. Or just a fat bastard, if that's too PC for you. Lucas runs the worthless piece of garbage that is the Merseyside BNP Twitter account, expending most of his energies on stalking me there.

Returning to the site, it's not even plagiarism. If you're going to plagiarise someone's work, you should at least make a semi-decent effort to pass it off as your own. All that the idiot behind this site has done is utilise the "find and replace" function in Microsoft Word.

For example, take Liverpool Antifascists' "Who We Are;"
Liverpool Antifascists is an autonomous group of local activists, dedicated to driving fascism from the streets of Liverpool. We exist to confront fascist ideas, activities, and organisations wherever and however they occur.

Our structure is anti-authoritarian and non-hierarchical. We oppose discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, disability or age.

Our activists come from a broad variety of movements, and so we cannot claim to be an “anarchist,” “socialist,” or “communist” movement. However, all of our members agree on two things: that we need working class unity against fascism and that there should be no platform for fascists.
And compare it to the same page on "Liverpool Antitraitors;"
Liverpool Antitraitors are an autonomous group of local activists, dedicated to driving traitors from the streets of Liverpool. We exist to confront Marxist ideas, activities, and organisations wherever and however they occur.

Our structure is anti-authoritarian and non-hierarchical. We oppose Marxist groups that among other things organize Muslim protests against our homecoming troops.

Our activists come from a broad variety of movements, and so we cannot claim to be an “Nationalist,” “Libertarian,” or “Christian” movement. However, all of our members agree on two things: that we need working class unity against Marxism and that there should be no platform for traitors.
They couldn't even be arsed to address the fact that they are the exact opposite of anti-authoritarian and non-hierarchical.

The choice of "Libertarian" is also particularly baffling given that love of the nation-state is hardly the subject of reverence by that ideology. Hence why, contrary to the message of that site, one of the major philosophical tracts of right-libertarianism was No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority.

But then, we are dealing with complete fucking morons here.*

It gets more interesting when we get to the "The Enemy" section. Like the "enemy" section on the Liverpool BNP blog, it is incomplete.

Also like that site, my name pops up quite quickly;
Phil Dickens is the current organiser for Liverpool UAF. He has been seen at several high profile events for the Labour Party, and was recently pictured helping outside the party conference. Dickens writes regularly for the Liverpool UAF blog, claiming the mantle of perhaps the least truthful political Marxist blogger on the net.
This is a direct rip-off of the bio my Liverpool Antifascists comrades offered of Peter Squire. The difference being that, at the time it was written, Squire was the organiser for Liverpool BNP, he has been pictured at BNP events, and he is still the main writer on the Merseyside BNP blog - now representing the dissident, "liberal" faction.

On the other hand, I am not a member of either the Labour Party or Unite Against Fascism, and I have never attended their events. Liverpool Antifascists is autonomous, does not support any political parties, and (as a non-hierarchical organisation) has no formal "organiser" position.

But then, to know that, you need basic reading and comprehension skills. And, as I noted when I commented on the unofficial Phil Dickens fan club, that simply isn't the case.

Still, it's always a good to know not only that your opponents are foaming at the mouth because of your efforts against them, but that their response is more entertainment than a threat. If only the state and the bosses were this laughable...

*I haven't posted the picture of Lucas stoned to condemn the fact that he smokes weed. I don't, and I remain an adamant supporter of the legalisation of all drugs. I posted the picture because this is the same stupid, hypocritical fuckwit who once told me to "stick that in your cannabis filled bong and smoke it, you drug using degenerate."
